Badges

The definition for badge in the Standard English Dictionary is as follows: 1. A token, mark, decoration, or insignia of office, rank, or membership. 2. Any distinguishing mark.

Within the book of Revelation there are two types of badges, which are the mark of the beast or the seal of God. Those with the seal of God will not be hurt by the 5^th and 7^th trumpets, but those with the mark of the beast will suffer them. (Rev. 9:4, 16:1-21) All Christians understand that fact, but most do not understand what the seal and the mark represent.

The number 666 is the total numerical value of the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Rev. 13:16-18) The Greek word for name is: onoma – a name (lit. or fig.) – authority. With all the imaginable conceptions this number has among people, you could make it into a comedy series called Funny – Funny – Funny. “F” is the sixth letter of the alphabet. Have you ever seen people at check-out lines that will get something else if their total bill is all sixes? On the news recently, a phone district was assigned the area code 666. The people petitioned and got a new one. [Ring…Hello…Is Lucifer home? I can remember laughing, but not the city’s name. To make an international call you first dial 011, the country’s code (Italy – 39), then the city’s code (Rome – 6 and Vatican City – all 3 major points – 6). Could the Papacy’s global hot line be 011-39-666-pope?

What does the mark of the beast and the seal of God represent? There is a conflict of authority between the two. Both directly involve the forehead or memory. Although the hand is only mentioned with the mark, it is also related to the seal. Note the following definitions:

• mark – charagma – a scratch, or an etching, i.e. stamp (as a badge of servitude) – mark. From: charax – to sharpen to a point (through the idea of scratching) a stake, i.e. (by implication) a palisade or rampart – trench. Akin to the primary verb: grapho – to engrave, especially to write, figuratively to describe. [The English definition for rampart is widespread and unchecked, as in an erroneous belief or superstition.]
• seal – sphragis – a signet (as fencing in or by the protecting from misappropriation) by implication the stamp impressed (as a mark or badge of privacy or genuineness) – seal.

The two definitions have stamp and badge in common. A badge is an insignia of office or rank, and the same thing as a signet. God’s servants are sealed with the genuine protection of God’s signet in their foreheads. (Rev. 7:2-3; Ex. 20:8-11) The mark of the beast is the signet of a man or manmade authority, and something that is in direct conflict with the genuineness of God’s signet. Both are in the forehead, which in the figurative sense has to do with remembering something and servitude or service to it. (Dan. 7:25; Rev. 13:16-17)

When Moses spoke to the children of Israel in Exodus 31:12-18, he is speaking of the perpetual covenant which is an everlasting sign. The Hebrew word for sign is: owth – in the sense of appearing; a signal (lit. or fig.) as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence; mark, sign, token, or signet. The perpetual covenant of God is his Holy Sabbath, which he made by resting on the seventh day of recreation week. The Elohiym (Theos/Logos) that speaks in Genesis 1 is the Word that became flesh in John 1. The Lord made the Sabbath by resting from his work. This covenant was not only transgressed but changed by Rome. (Gen. 2:13; Dan. 7:25, 11:32-39; Hos. 8:1-3; Heb. 13:20; Ps. 25:10, 103:8-18, 105:5-10, 111:4-10, 132:12)

Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. (Mk. 2:27) All Jews are men, but are all men Jews? His beef with the Scribes and Pharisees was their hypocrisy in keeping it. They constantly accused Jesus of violating the Sabbath while doing a good deed.

When Jesus said, “I’m Lord even of the Sabbath day”, it despiteously pissed them off. They wanted to destroy him. (Matt. 12:1-14) On Passover, Nisan 14, 29 AD, they did! They also fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 53.

The fourth commandment is: remember the Sabbath, to KEEP IT HOLY. Memory is a brain function, which is in your forehead. The Sabbath is for rest and communion because the Lord put his presence in it. The Hebrew words for work (m^elakah) and rest (shabath) associated with the fourth commandment means: to desist from any usual employment, business, occupation, or severe labor, and commune with (worship) the creator. (Gen. 2:2-3; Ex. 20:8-11; Is. 56, 58:13-14; 66:23; Ps. 92-101) What about emergencies, firemen, policemen, and medical emergency personnel? Read Luke 6:9. What are soldiers to do in war? To study (to be engaged in learning, practice and participation in) war no more, man has not yet learned!

The day (time) of rest and worship was changed by Rome. (Dan. 7:25) There are many passages of scripture that are misinterpreted in defending Sunday, and Col. 2:16 is the most misused passage. There is no Greek word for of. The Greek prime particle e is read or when disjunctive, or either when comparative. The Greek prime word oun is read certainly as an adverb, and therefore when a conjunction. The translators added days. The verse is better translated as: Let no man certainly judge you in meat (eating), or in drink (drinking), either in respecting a holyday (feast), or the new moon, or the Sabbath. (Lk. 7:31-35; Ps. 104:14-15) BUT avoid drunkenness! (Lk. 21:34)

The fourth commandment is the badge that God’s people are sealed with; therefore, the badge of the beast must certainly be some other day by another authority. The Lord made and has not changed the Seventh Day Sabbath. (Gen. 2:2-3; Jer. 13:23; Mal. 3:6) A man or manmade authority made the change. Doesn’t that constitutively place that man or manmade authority above God? Jesus Christ is head of the church; therefore, any other church head doing such an act would certainly be placing themselves above God. Daniel 7:25 was fulfilled by Rome (the beast), the Catholic Church (mother of harlots that rides the beast), and the Papacy (the false prophet of infallibility).

We have already reviewed the history of the changing of the Seventh Day Sabbath to Sunday, but let’s get it right from the harlot’s own mouth and other authorities. Seven reinforcements follow:

(1) “The Sunday is a Catholic institution, and its claim for sacredness can be defended only on Catholic authority. In Holy Scripture, from the beginning to the end, we find not one single text which justifies the transfer of the weekly public worship service from the last to the first day of the week.” (Catholic Press, Sidney, 8-25-1900)

(2) “We celebrate Sunday instead of Saturday, because the Catholic Church has transferred the sacredness from Saturday to Sunday at the council of Laodicea in the year 364 AD.” (The Converts Catechism of Catholic Doctrine from P. Geiermann, the work of Pope Pius X, on 1-25-1910)

(3) “It pleased the church of God to transfer the celebration of the Sabbath to Sunday.” (Published Roman Catechism, p. 247, after the decision of the Council of Trent by order of Pope Pius V.)

(4) “The Sabbath, the best-known day of the law, was changed into the Lord’s day. These and others have not ceased because of instructions received from Christ, (because he himself says, I have not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it), but because due to the authority of the church they have been changed…” (Archbishop of Rheggio, Sermon 1-18-1562, Mansi 23, p. 526)

(5) “The seventh-day Sabbath was kept by Christ and the apostles and was celebrated by the first Christians and acknowledged as such until it was abolished by the Laodicean Council. This council first settled the question about the Lord’s Day and forbade the keeping of the seventh-day Sabbath under the issue of an Anathema (Curse).” (William Prynne, from “Dissertation on Lord’s Day”, pg. 32)

(6) “It was the holy Catholic Church who transferred the rest day from Saturday to Sunday, the first day of the week…Which Church does the whole civilized world obey? The Protestants…acknowledge great reverence towards the Bible, and yet by celebrating the Sunday they acknowledge the authority of the Catholic Church. The Bible says, ‘Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy’, but the Catholic Church says, ‘No, keep the first day of the week holy!’ – and the entire world obeys her!” (Pater Enright on 12-15-1889)

(7) “The celebration of Sunday has always been a man-made arrangement.” (Neanders Church History, Vol. 1, p. 399)

The Catholic Church openly admits there is no authority from Christ, but it was for her own pleasure. Sound like a harlot? Why do Protestants that claim the Holy Bible as the only authority of God continue to honor her authority by resting and worshipping on Sunday? Who is the head of this beast-riding whore, Christ or Satan? Why do God fearing, Bible believing Protestants accept the signet of her authority by wearing her badge? One would think that after the announcement made by the Catholic Church on July 13, 2007 (ironically on a Friday – CBN News) that only Catholics would enter into heaven, Protestants would literally trash every dogmatic doctrine that the Catholic councils have ever etched out on paper with ink!

Protestants used to teach that the Catholic Church and Papacy were the harlot beast system at the beginning of the reformation. What has happened over the past 500 years? Jesus said, “…in vain do they worship me.” (Mk. 7:7; Is. 29:13; Prov. 28:9) The time is soon coming that lip service simply will not cut it anymore. You will wear either the badge of the beast/harlot or the badge of God. Any 1 out of 7 will not be acceptable!

The name (onoma) is a title or official position of authority. Since Vatican City is a sovereign independent state and a member of the United Nations (sitting membership only with no vote as of now) it must have a leader. The Papacy is Head of Church and State. The King of Vatican City wears a crown, as most kings do, and his is called a Mitre. It is a triple crown with a cross on top, and the following ETCHED across the front band: VICARIUS FILII DEI. In Latin it translates: Representative of the Son of God. The Bible tells us the Holy Spirit is representative. (Jn. 14:26, 16:12-15; Rom. 8:26, Is. 32:15) Can a man represent or only witness? There are hundreds of passages that proves the Holy Spirit of God deals with man directly, and not through any human agent. If the Pope is the Holy Spirit, can he be poured into his subjects? Can he go up high in the heavens and be poured upon us? The Pope is also to be properly addressed as Most Holy Father. Jesus tells us to call no man your father upon the earth. (Matt. 23:9) Our Holy Father is in Heaven! (Matt. 5:16, 45, 48; 6:1, 9; 7:11, 21; 18:10, 14, 19) He is not in Vatican City! (Rev. 2:13, 17:9) Can you now see the abomination? (Lk. 6:39 Matt. (15:14; Dan. 7:25; Is. 24:5,16-23) If not, would a Seeing Eye Dog help?

The Latin (Roman) alphabet has numerical values based on the Roman numeral system. The numerical value of VICARIUS FILII DEI follows: V = 5, I = 1, C = 100, A = 0, R = 0, I = 1, U = 5, S = 0, F = 0, I = 1, L = 50, I = 1, I = 1, D = 500, E = 0, and I = 1. (U and V have the same numerical value – 5.) When you add or count the number, it totals to 666. According to Daniel Webster’s Dictionary, the word deity (dei + ty) comes from the Latin deus, which means: (god + facere, to make) – the state of being a god – a god or goddess – the Deity God. The other Daniel tells us he will not regard the desire of women. (Dan. 11:37) I don’t know about little boys or girls. The Harlot should be down to her panties and bra by now. Next act – adult books only! (Is. 47-48; Rev. 17) The word causeth in Rev. 13:16 is translated from the Greek word poieo meaning: (as an apparent prolonged form of an obsolete prime) to make, or cause to do (in a very wide application, more or less direct: agreement + commitment + ordain, observe, perform + transgress the law) and comparable to: prasso – a primary verb meaning: to practice, i.e. to perform repeatedly or habitually. The mark of the beast is the prolonged practice of transgressing the fourth commandment! Presently, it is voluntary through the freedom of religious practice. Was there ever a time in history when the Roman Church accused Christians that kept the Seventh Day Sabbath of heresy, and then murdered them if they did not recant and return to her authority? How could this be enforced today?

Most people don’t like to read a book. They prefer to wait until the movie comes out. Maybe some movie producer will come across and read this little book. If so, I would like to submit for the next Hollywood fiction thriller of Apokalupsis proportions the following story line and plot. Other writers can add the romantic subplots.

A Time of Trouble

The financial markets of the world are failing. All the capitalist nations and their government’s bailouts are proving to be in vain. The world’s major banks begin declaring bankruptcy. Trillions have disappeared. There is no credit. True unemployment is approaching 50%. Currencies throughout the world are becoming worthless. Inflation and deflation have become meaningless terms.

Millions of houses lie empty, but many are broken into and some used as overnight camps by unemployed homeless transits. People’s electricity and water are shut off because they can’t afford to pay their bills. Food pantries are empty and closed. The economy has ground to a halt, and finally the entire global economy collapses. People are stealing food from any place they can find it. The world begins to slip into a state of anarchy, and systems of government are in chaos.

The State of Israel has attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities. Terrorists have succeeded at acquiring and using nuclear materials on the United States and Great Britain. The U.S. military forces have been bogged down in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other Middle East Countries for the past 21 years. UN and NATO forces are unable to handle the world’s situation in a conventional manner, and the Superpowers have footballs with nukes. The planet is on the brink of nuclear war. It is the year 2022. 

The Pope claims that Christ has come instructing him to declare a type of Biblical Jubilee (Lev. 25), then endorses a charismatic leader from some nation in whom the entire world has placed great hope but is barely holding the world together. A plan is devised that can quickly restart the global economy. All debt is forgiven. There will be a fresh start. Everyone will be issued a free electronic account of credits and benefits by receiving a personalized microchip ID implant on the back of their hand for scanning and preventing identity theft. It is like the soup lines of the Great Depression. Acceptance is to give allegiance to the Universal Church and all its infallible Global Orthodox Directives. Many signs and miracles are being performed. Most people will accept the New World Order. Very few will resist! They will think Christ has returned, but it will be the false one.

After a short period of time and global conditions stabilize, the UGSW (United Global Space Watch) detects a large unusual elongated object enter the solar system that appears white and is not behaving like other comets. Suddenly, the sixth seal opens! The earth’s magnetic poles shift polarity. The planet is magnetically turned upside down. There is a communications blackout. The entire world is silent and its people are terrified. After 21 days of silence, global communications are restored. The world is in a state of shock and confusion. Many disillusioned people will wonder why there was no rapture.

The space object detected before the days of silence is determined to be an alien invasion and its trajectory is the Middle East. The UGSW telescopes can see a name written on the vessel – JCKKLL Galactica Supreme. All the armies of the world gather to the trajectory area to prepare for The Great Battle for Planet Earth.

How can Christians, Catholic or Protestant, support the killing of unborn innocents and gay marriage, yet call themselves true Christians? How can the Episcopal and Anglican Church (Romish England’s American Branches) have openly gay Bishops and support abortion, LBGT and gay marriage, then at the same time be addressed as Most Reverend without being a daughter of the harlot and an ABOMINATION OF THE EARTH?” (Rev. 17:5) Are Priests and Ministers still molesting children? An accused Archbishop from the U.S. is now liaison between the Vatican and China. Is this New Age the latter-day Dark Ages?
