The Root of Violence

More than a dozen mass shootings took place as the U.S. marked Memorial Day. The incidents over the three-day holiday weekend saw 9 people killed and 63 injured in the wake of the Uvalde elementary school shooting in Texas on May 24, 2022. During Memorial Day weekend, there were 5 on Saturday the 28th, 7 on Sunday the 29th, and two on Monday, Memorial Day the 30th for a total of 14 mass shootings totaling up to 9 dead and 63. Not the numbers of causalities and wounded on the evening news during Vietnam, but the war zone is in our American cities.

Suppose one could say “Memorial Hell Week”! Then on June 2ND, the 233rd mass shootng for the year with 4 dead plus the shooter. Now all of this violence does not count any causalities of injuries on the domestic front, gang violence, war or any of the other types of murders committed on a global daily bases. Peace is being taken from the whole earth!

“And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.” (Revelation 6:3-4)

This cycle has been going on since creation. From Missing Links, Chapter VII in the main menu and page 111 in the paperback (See “My Little Book” page):

*******SEALS*******

Revelation 6 reveals the book with seven seals and only the Lamb of God is found worthy to open them. The first four seals opened are commonly called The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The four faces of the middle Pyramid at Giza (present Adam) are symbolic to the four horses and Satan is at the pinnacle of their control. Man is the rider of each horse, and the four corners are the foundation of his fall with three aspects per face. [Think of it as like a merry-go-round with the four slopes as the rein for each horse.] The format for their description will be: (horse number) – color – (color representation) – three historical aspects of man’s fall:

(1)   white (pestilence) – innocence – disobedience – curse

(2)   red (war) – violence -murder – rebellion

(3)   black (famine) – natural disasters – food control – starvation

(4)   pale (death) – curse – disobedience – innocence (original loss)

Envy, lust, and desire lead to man’s fall from the beginning of his original innocence, and by his disobedience through free moral agency (freedom of choice) he brought on himself the curse of death. (Gen. 3) The tree with the knowledge of good and evil looked good for food (envy), was pleasant to the eyes (lust), and desired (coveted). Choosing to disobey God caused the loss of their innocence and access to the tree of life or immortality. Later, Cain became jealous of Abel and spilled the first blood. (Gen. 4:1-10) The rest is like a merrygoround of human history. As the end time draws nearer, the merry-go-round will begin to spin out of control. (Dan. 12:1) [See Appendix IV.]

“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” (Daniel 12:1-4)

Franklin Graham has identified many of the feeder roots as well as the tap root. From the article below: Evangelist Franklin Graham says America’s abandonment of God and its embrace of violent entertainment is to blame for a series of mass shootings, including the shooting at a Uvalde, Texas, elementary school that left 19 children and two teachers dead.

Graham made the comments on Facebook Wednesday, two days after President Biden made remarks interpreted by many as supporting a ban on some types of handguns.

“President Biden and his administration want to ban certain caliber handguns,” Graham wrote. “That won’t help the problem. What would make a difference is a ban on all of the movies, television shows, and video games graphically depicting gun violence, bloody gore, and death. We are a nation addicted to violence – and they call it entertainment. Until we get a handle on this problem, we will see more and more of these kinds of tragic incidents across our nation.”

The nation, Graham said, has a spiritual problem.

“We have taken God out of schools and most homes are leaving God out of the rearing of their children,” Graham said. “He is the solution. The more we turn our backs on God and His Word, the more problems we have as individuals and as a nation.” > The Ten Commandments of God have been forsaken!

Religious persecution has been around since the dawn of time and Christianity, Judaism and Islam have been on both ends of the stick. Today, just proclaiming yourself a Christian and being open about it will bring a variety of accusations, harassment and even death. From the article below: First Liberty sent a demand letter to Oakland University (OU) in Michigan on behalf of Inara Ramazanova. The university wrongfully evicted the recent graduate from campus housing because she shared information on social media about how to request a COVID-19 vaccine religious accommodation. The university accused her of “conspiracy or collusion” under its code of conduct.

Psalms 23

KJV(i) 1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

2 Corinthians 12:10

KJV(i) 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Thessalonians 1:3-10

KJV(i) 3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; 4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

2 Timothy 3

KJV(i) 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their’s also was. 10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
