Exodus 20:16

bear – ענה – ‛ânâh – aw-naw’ – A primitive root; properly to eye or (generally) to heed, that is, pay attention; by implication to respond; by extension to begin to speak; specifically to sing, shout, testify, announce. KJV Usage: give account, afflict [by mistake for H6031], (cause to, give) answer, bring low [by mistake for H6031], cry, hear, Leannoth, lift up, say, X scholar, (give a) shout, sing (together by course), speak, testify, utter, (bear) witness. false – שׁקר – sheqer – sheh’-ker – From H8266; an untruth; by implication a sham (often adverbially) KJV Usage: without a cause, deceit (-ful), false (-hood, -ly), feignedly, liar, + lie, lying, vain (thing), wrongfully.

witness – עד – ‛êd – ayd – From H5749 contracted; concretely a witness; abstractly testimony; specifically a recorder, that is, prince. KJV Usage: witness.

neighbor – ריע רע – rêa‛ rêya‛ – ray’-ah,ray’-ah – From H7462; an associate (more or less close) KJV Usage: brother, companion, fellow, friend, husband, lover, neighbour, X (an-) other.

NOTE: Although the English word “against” isn’t translated from a specific Hebrew word in the original manuscript, it is implied in and by the definitions of the terms utilized in the original Hebrew writing of the commandment. The English terms “towards, at, on behalf of, about, in response to, to the public, etc.” is implied and could be utilized as well.

Hum? Thou shalt not bear false witness about a fellow person in public? Makes me think back to the late 90’s when a certain “prince” got in front of some cameras and broadcast a falsehood to ALL of his fellow Americans as well as his fellow earthlings. Then he was acquitted be a group of his fellow associates for doing the same thing on an official written record. Yep, it really happened!

Hum? Fast forward to today. Thou shalt not respond by singing, shouting, testifying or announcing a sham of falsehoods by abstract testimony specifically recorded, contracted or not, towards thy fellow associate or associates. Hum, ring any bells?

Matthew 7:1-5

Matthew 24:21-28

Maybe the problems that have manifested themselves today comes from a grace alone, faith alone without works and Jesus kept the commandments in our stead doctrine that is taught. Hum? Didn’t Jesus say: “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 7:17-20)
