Swatting is a practice where someone calls police or 911 and reports some type of crime that would require an immediate response by police in a SWATT type of response. Usually, the false report is some drug activity, beating, or an assault. Pranksters think it’s funny. Police and Law Enforcement DO NOT! It is actually a crime to make a false report to Law Enforcement.
Lately these types of “pranks” have become more potentially deadly! False reports have been called in for shooting and even hostage situations. This would of course require a much higher alert situation. A false shooter call would require a weapons drawn, locked and loaded response. Would not the caller know that?!?! Yep, even the most wicked of demoncrat supporters know that!

ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) – Georgia U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was “swatted” early Wednesday morning by a 911 caller who is upset over some of Greene’s political views.

According to Rome police, officers responded to reports around 1 a.m. of a person being shot several times within city limits. “When officers responded they discovered this was the home of Marjorie Taylor Greene,” Debbie Burnett, assistant Rome police chief, said. “She assured the officers there was no issue and the call was determined to be a false call commonly known as ‘swatting.’
“Rome/Floyd 911 received a second call from the suspect who was using a computer generated voice, stating that he/she was upset about Mrs. Greene’s political view on transgender youth rights,” Burnett said. “The Rome Police’s Department Criminal Investigation Division is working in conjunction with the Capital police on this investigation.”
Last night, I was swatted just after 1 am.

“Swatting” consists of making a prank call to police or 911 in an attempt to bring a large number of armed police officers to a particular address.

Greene is a Republican who represents Georgia’s 14th congressional district, which includes much of northwest Georgia but also stretches southward into portions of Cobb County.
Greene is facing a challenge this fall from Democrat Marcus Flowers in her bid for reelection.
Police investigating ‘swatting’ call directed at Marjorie Taylor Greene’s home

The Rome Police Department in northwest Georgia said in a statement that officers responded to a 911 call at 1:03 a.m. claiming an individual was shot multiple times at Greene’s house.
“She assured the officers there was no issue and the call was determined to be a false call commonly known as ‘swatting,’” the statement read.
Officials said they received a second call from the suspect, who was using a computer-generated voice, saying they were upset about Greene’s view on transgender youth rights.
The lawmaker has been an outspoken opponent of transgender rights and last week introduced a bill to make gender-affirming care a felony.
The Rome Police Department said they are investigating the incident alongside the U.S. Capitol Police.
“For safety reasons, the USCP does not discuss potential security measures for members or any potential investigations,” Capitol Police said.
Greene first revealed the incident in a tweet on Wednesday morning.
“Last night, I was swatted just after 1 am,” she tweeted. “I can’t express enough gratitude to my local law enforcement here in Rome, Floyd County. More details to come.”
When asked for further comment, Greene’s office called it a “political attack.”
“Right now, Congresswoman Greene’s safety is our number one concern,” her office said in a statement. “Late last night, she was a victim of a political attack on her family and home. Whoever who committed this violent crime will face the full extent of the law.”
Kandiss Taylor, a Georgia Republican who received 3.4 percent of the vote in the state’s May gubernatorial primary, also said she was swatted last month.
