Many people have said that we are saved by grace alone because the Bible says so. That is not true! (See Message 9/3/22 in Sabbath Message Archives in main menu.) Others say that Jesus kept the ten commandments in our stead and that we don’t have to keep them because we aren’t under the law but grace. It’s the mainstream Christian narrative held by mainstream Christianity that teach for doctrine the doctrines and traditions of men, which came by the philosophy of religion. (Col. 2:8)
Christ Jesus is the WORD that became flesh by the womb of a virgin named Mary, the most blessed of all women, a daughter of Eve the mother of all living. He is the same Word that spoke the Commandments from Mt. Sinai. (Ex. 20) He is the same Word that breathed the breath of life into Adam. He is the same Word while in the flesh that John recorded in His reply to Philip’s question “If you love me, keep my commandments (G1785).” (John 14:15)
*G1785 – ἐντολή – injunction, i.e. an authoritative prescription
Derivation: from G1781; KJV Usage: commandment, precept.
Pastor Daniel Joseph explains it well.
Twisting the Scripture
2 Corinthians 11:11-15
KJV(i) 11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth. 12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Matthew 15:7-9
KJV(i) 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Isaiah 28:9-13
KJV(i) 9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept (H6673) must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line (H6957) upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. 13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
*H6673 – צו צו – tsav tsâv – tsav, tsawv – From H6680; an injunction. KJV Usage: commandment, precept.
*H6957 – קו קו – qav qâv – kav, kawv – From H6960 (compare H6961); a cord (as connecting), especially for measuring; figuratively a rule; also a rim, a musical string or accord. KJV Usage: line.
>H6960 – קוה – qâvâh – kaw-vaw’ – A primitive root; to bind together (perhaps by twisting), that is, collect; (figuratively) to expect. KJV Usage: gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon).
God’s love and desire are embedded in His ten commandments. If we stumble along the narrow path while following and loving our Lord Christ Jesus, He will pick us up. But what happens when there is no proof of our love?
Matthew 7:13-23
KJV(i) 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Have a restful sabbath.
