As events unfold and prophecy is being fulfilled, we’re nearing the peak of The Coming Convergence and rhetoric abounds. At the beginning of any war there are many threats, political postering, saber rattling, shouting, muscle flexing and much finger pointing as where the blame lies. It’s really a gas, literally! When one gets to the real core of the issue of this one; that is what it really boils down too. How many will freeze this winter? Miles per dollar will skyrocket! As the old saying goes:
“TIME WILL TELL”
As we have been changing our clocks every spring and fall to somehow gain an extra hour of daylight, and there are two types of atomic or nuclear clocks:
The Atomic Clock
&
Doomsday Clock
Which one is to fall back?

Fmr. Joint Chief Chair Adm. Mullen hits Biden; should ‘back off’ Armageddon warnings
From the article:
Former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and retired Adm. Mike Mullen spoke out against President Joe Biden on Sunday, urging him to “back off” from ominous warnings of nuclear “Armageddon.”
During an appearance on ABC’s “This Week,” Mullen warned co-anchor Martha Raddatz that overly-heated language risks making a solution to the Russia-Ukraine war impossible.
“We’re about at the top of the language scale, if you will,” Mullen said. “I think we need to back off that a little bit and do everything we possibly can to try to get to the table and resolve this thing.”
Biden said at a recent fundraiser that we are facing “the prospect of Armageddon” amid nuclear saber-rattling, and there is a “direct threat of the use of a nuclear weapon if in fact things continue down the path that they are going.”
He said Putin is “not joking” about using nuclear weapons in the war, which is entering its eighth month….

NATO staging nuclear exercise in Europe amid Putin nuclear threats
From the aricle:
NATO will stage a nuclear exercise next week amid what has been called the most sensitive moment since the Cuban missile crisis.
Fourteen of 30 allied countries will participate in NATO’s annual “deterrence exercise,” Steadfast Noon, Voice of America reported.
VOA cites a NATO official saying the exercise will mainly occur more than 625 miles from Russia. No live bombs will be used, but fighter jets capable of carrying nuclear warheads will be involved.
NATO keeps a tight lid on the details of Steadfast Noon, but the Wall Street Journal reported it is the alliance’s main nuclear drill, involving fictional scenarios. It has been held annually since at least 2014, and was held over southern Europe last year.
Nuclear rhetoric has been heated in recent weeks, with the U.S. and Russian leaders trading ominous warnings the weapons could be used in Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to use “all available means” defending four annexed regions of Ukraine, and President Joe Biden said Putin’s credible threats invite “the prospect of Armageddon.”…

Kremlin warns of nuclear World War III: ‘Will be catastrophic for all mankind’
From the article:
The Deputy Secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Security Council warned on Thursday that Ukrainian calls for the international community to take “preventative” strikes or actions against Russia are a call for World War III and a nuclear conflict that “would be catastrophic for all mankind.”
In an interview with the Russian state-run TASS news agency, Kremlin Security Council Deputy Secretary Alexander Venediktov warned if western nations supporting Ukraine decided to use weapons of mass destruction on Russia, it would all but guarantee World War III.
Venediktov’s comments come days after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for the West to carry out “preventative strikes” against Russia before it uses its nuclear weapons and “to eliminate the possibility that Russia will use nuclear strikes.”
Russia’s government has taken Zelenskyy’s words as a call for the West to preemptively use nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction against Russia. Zelenskyy’s spokesman Sergii Nykyforov later claimed Zelenskyy’s comment was misinterpreted and he meant to say “preventative measures” instead of “preventative strikes” and said Zelenskyy was only calling for sanctions in his request to “eliminate the possibility” of a Russian nuclear attack….

North Korea launches ballistic missile after its warplanes buzz South Korea
From the article:
North Korean missile forces conducted another ballistic missile test early on Friday morning (local time) after their warplanes buzzed the South Korean border.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff announced the North Korean missile launch in a statement provided to the South Korean Yonhap News Agency. As with other ballistic missile tests this month, North Korea fired the missile eastward, toward the Sea of Japan.
The latest launch prompted Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s office to issue warnings to the Japanese people….

Macron tells world if Putin nukes Ukraine, France won’t nuke Russia
From the article:
France’s President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that he would not use nuclear weapons against Russia in response to a Russian nuclear attack on Ukraine.
During an appearance on the French TV channel France 2, Macron explained that the “vital interests” of France would not be at stake if Russia dropped a nuclear bomb on Ukraine, according to Politico.
“France has a nuclear doctrine, that is based on the vital interests of the country and which are clearly defined. These would not be at stake if there was a nuclear ballistic attack in Ukraine or in the region,” the French president said.
Macron has spoken out against escalating the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, tweeting on Thursday, “We do not want a World War.”…

Russia and NATO are both holding nuclear drills despite rising tensions
From the article:
Moscow and NATO are both proceeding with nuclear exercises, even as tensions escalate over Russian President Vladimir Putin’s threats to use “all means available” — including atomic weapons — to defend land he claims to be Russian.
The drills come as Russia steps up its missile attacks on Ukraine, nearly eight months into its invasion and as its troops struggle to make headway on the ground. Putin has recently moved to annex parts of Ukraine, and is mobilizing as many as 300,000 Russian reservists.
The difficulties facing Russia’s military in Ukraine have raised concerns that Putin could yet resort to some sort of nuclear strike, although U.S. and European officials say they have detected no change in Moscow’s nuclear posture or any unusual movement of its atomic stocks.
The Russian defense ministry said in a statement Thursday that it conducted exercises involving an unspecified number of Yars mobile ground-based missile systems, with troops testing how to hide them from aerial reconnaissance systems and protect them from saboteurs on the ground. More than 3,000 troops and about 300 vehicles took part, according to the statement. It’s unclear if those drills will continue into Friday or beyond…..

North Korean air force launches 150 planes in rare large-scale drill
From the article:
With leader Kim Jong Un looking on, North Korea’s air force launched 150 planes in a rare drill over the weekend that required a month’s worth of intensive pilot training and burned through precious jet fuel that has been in short supply since the 1990s, military sources in the country told RFA.
Saturday’s exercise appeared to be largely meant for propaganda purposes, as state TV and radio carried repeated programs about the event since Monday, a national holiday marking the founding of the ruling Korean Workers’ Party, according to a military source from the northern province of Ryanggang, who asked not to be identified.
“For this training exercise, the entire air force has made a fuss and conducted intensive training since last month,” said the source. “Despite the shortage of jet fuel these days, many aircraft participated in the drill. The drill was directly observed by Kim Jong Un and the air force command officials came to each division to supervise practice for over two weeks.”
The state-run Korea Central News Agency praised the “gallant combat pilots,” who showed “the might of the people’s air force and creditably carried out the Party’s order of training by displaying matchless bravery and indomitable fighting spirit in the large-scale air attack combined drill unprecedented in the army-building history.”
The Rodong Sinmun newspaper meanwhile cited the return of the USS Ronald Reagan to the region as the reason for the drill. The aircraft carrier participated in naval exercises with the South Korean navy on Friday in response to North Korea launching a missile over Japan earlier in the week.
The North Korea’s aging air force has a fleet of 572 front-line warplanes, many of which were manufactured in the 1950s and ‘60s, according to a 2021 Forbes report, including hundreds of Soviet-era MiG-17s, MiG-19s and MiG-21s, or Chinese copies of them….

Not going nuclear: Putin’s other options for escalation with the West
From the article:
U.S. President Joe Biden turned heads last week by warning Russian President Vladimir Putin is “not joking” when he issues thinly veiled threats of using weapons of mass destruction as his invasion of Ukraine struggles, potentially threatening his 23-year hold on power.
Days earlier, Senator Marco Rubio, a Republican member of the upper U.S. legislative chamber’s intelligence committee, also made headlines when he said he feared Russia could launch a conventional strike against a NATO member to impede the alliance’s military aid to Ukraine.
But analysts say Putin may be more likely to use other, less kinetic means to try to intimidate the West into curtailing its support for Ukraine such as targeting critical offshore energy pipelines and data cables, as well as satellites orbiting Earth.
“All of these methods of attack would be more logical for Russia to pursue” than a direct military attack on NATO facilities or use of a nuclear weapon, said Sean Monaghan, an analyst at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies who previously served at the British Defense Ministry.
For one thing, Monaghan said, a Russian strike targeting a weapons supply route in a NATO country such as Poland would trigger the 30-member Western military alliance to respond.
“The war with Ukraine is not existential [for Russia]. It’s a war of choice,” he said. “A war with NATO would be existential.”
In the case of undersea energy pipelines, there are accusations Russia has already carried out such an attack.
Blasts that hit two Russian natural gas export pipelines to Germany late last month were a sign of things to come, Monaghan said, calling it a “precursor to more brazen hybrid attacks.”
Russia-controlled Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines suffered extensive damage in late September when several hundred pounds of explosives were detonated, according to Danish and Swedish investigators, in what Biden and other Western officials have called sabotage.
Officials have largely avoided direct accusations, but many in the West say they believe Russia sabotaged its own pipelines to deter Europe from aiding Ukraine. Russia has been curtailing natural gas exports to Europe for months, driving up prices to record highs and steeping the continent’s energy crisis. The Kremlin has denied the accusations and blamed the United States, which had opposed the pipelines in the first place….

B-52 bombers, 60 warplanes fly near Russia in new joint nuke NATO exercise
U.S. B-52 bombers and around 60 other aircraft are taking part in NATO’s weeks-long nuclear exercise, which kicks off on Monday amid Russian threats of nuclear war.
According to a statement by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), 14 countries and up to 60 aircraft will take part in the nuclear exercise known as “Steadfast Noon.” A NATO official said part of the exercise would be held more than 625 miles from Russia, VOA reported.
NATO described the exercise as “a routine, recurring training activity” that is “not linked to any current world events.”
Belgium is hosting the exercise, which is scheduled to run from Monday, Oct. 17 to Sunday, Oct. 30. Training flights will take place over the North Sea and the United Kingdom, NATO said.
“This exercise helps ensure that the Alliance’s nuclear deterrent remains safe, secure and effective,” said NATO Spokesperson Oana Lungescu.
While NATO branded the exercise as “routine,” it comes at a time when Russia continues issuing veiled threats of nuclear war. In a recent interview with the Russian state-run TASS news agency, Kremlin Security Council Deputy Secretary Alexander Venediktov cautioned against western nations attacking Russia over its war with Ukraine, saying it would all but guarantee World War III.
“For some reason, many believe that a nuclear war can be waged locally,” he added. “We must remember: a nuclear conflict will affect absolutely the whole world – and not only Russia and the collective West, but in general any country on this planet. Its consequences will be catastrophic for all mankind.”

When will we ever learn?
Zechariah 13:7-9
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
Isaiah 2:2-5
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
Come out of Babylon for her judgement is near!
