A Vote of No Confidence

Of all the states that had very problematic voting issues in 2020, again in 2022, at least half a dozen states are still having them. Especially Arizona! Now the latest in that state is outright “in your face corruption”!

Vote Aye, or go to Jail!?!?

From the article:

As Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake challenges Maricopa County’s certification of the 2022 election in court, the chairman of another county is declaring he voted to certify under duress.

“I found out today that I have no choice but to vote ‘Aye’ or I will be arrested and charged with a felony,” said Ron Gould, chairman of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors.

Lake’s opponent, Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, who is overseeing the election, has threatened felony charges for officials who don’t certify the election.

Hobbs is suing Cochise County, which refused to certify by the Monday deadline….

****

Here’s the kicker…

Hobb’s gets to certify her own election!

Why do things always somewhat work during early voting, but on election day, they brake down?

Not only has the dead voted, one got voted for and won!

Dead congressman wins re-election in Pennsylvania midterm election

From the article:

Anthony DeLuca, who died Oct. 9 at age 85, has emerged as the winner in the race for Pennsylvania’s 32nd state House seat, after winning a landslide majority with 85 percent of the vote.

When DeLuca died, almost a month ago, it was too late to change the ballots, so he continued to be listed as a candidate for Pennsylvania’s 32nd congressional district.

At the polls, no Republican representative ran against DeLuca. His only opponent was Green Party candidate Queonia Livingston, who received 14 percent of the vote….

They had 31 days to do something!

In my small hometown in North Carolina, I went in, gave my name and address (tried to show my ID but was told not necessary), got my paper ballot, colored in the squares with a black ball point pen, took my ballot to the counting machine and to my surprise, was instructed in how to insert it into the tabulator myself. Did so, waited about three to four seconds and the tabulator’s green light came on and the poll worker informed me “it’s counted”. Then she gave me an “I voted” sticker ribbon. I also noticed that the white with gray trim tabulation machine had a red “H” on it, so I was pretty sure it was not one of those Dominions. The two republican senators to DC won plus all three open county commissioners and all three open school board seats the republicans also won.

BUT!!

About a week later…

Then…

Hidden Meanings Inside Respect For Marriage Act

From the article:

On November 16, United States Senators in the Democratic and Republican Parties voted to advance the Respect for Marriage Act. All 50 Democrats voted yes, and 12 Republicans also voted yes.

But the bill is not what it may seem as potential impositions on other American freedoms are associated with the act’s passage. The act’s primary purpose is to force the federal government to recognize any marriage performed under state law. But three significant issues result from recognition on a federal level.

The bill will target religious liberties. Secular, anti-religious activists will use the law to target people of faith, including Jews, Muslims, and Christians. Targeting can be imposed on organizations, churches and religious schools. Further, conducting business under conservative or faith-based missions will create targets on the backs of business owners once the bill is passed….

So…

I vote: No Confidence!!

But there’s still hope for the county and its school board.
