The Cosmos Awaits

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

John 14:1-5 (KJV)

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house (G3614) are many mansions (G3438): if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place (G5117) for you. And if I go and prepare a place (G5117) for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way (G3598) ye know.”

*G3614 – οἰκία – properly, residence (abstractly), but usually (concretely) an abode (literally or figuratively); by implication, a family (especially domestics) Derivation: from G3624; KJV Usage: home, house(-hold).

>G3624 – οἶκος – a dwelling (more or less extensive, literal or figurative); by implication, a family (more or less related, literally or figuratively)
Derivation: of uncertain affinity; KJV Usage: home, house(-hold), temple.

*G3438 – μονή – a staying, i.e. residence (the act or the place)
Derivation: from G3306; KJV Usage: abode, mansion.

>G3306 – μένω – to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy)
Derivation: a primary verb; KJV Usage: abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry (for), X thine own.

*G5117 – τόπος – a spot (general in space, but limited by occupancy; whereas G5561 is a large but participle locality), i.e. location (as a position, home, tract, etc.); figuratively, condition, opportunity; specially, a scabbard
Derivation: apparently a primary word; KJV Usage: coast, licence, place, X plain, quarter, + rock, room, where.

*G3598 – ὁδός – a road; by implication, a progress (the route, act or distance); figuratively, a mode or means. Derivation: apparently a primary word; KJV Usage: journey, (high-)way.

Where is Father God’s abode and/or residence? “Our Father, which art in heaven, thy kingdom come, thy will (desire) be done, on earth as it is in heaven…” (Mt. 6:9-13) Father God’s abode is in the heavens that were created to be inhabited along with the earth.

John 1:1-18 (KJV)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power (G1489) to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will (of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”

*G1489 – ἐξουσία – privilege, i.e. (subjectively) force, capacity, competency, freedom, or (objectively) mastery (concretely, magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control), delegated influence. Derivation: from G1832 (in the sense of ability); KJV Usage: authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength.

>G1832 – ἔξεστιso also ἐξόν neuter present participle of the same (with or without some form of G1510 expressed); impersonally, it is right (through the figurative idea of being out in public) Derivation: third person singular present indicative of a compound of G1537 and G1510; KJV Usage: be lawful, let, X may(-est). {Click embeds for further comparison.}

Freedom of choice is a right derived from the first amendment’s guarantee of certain liberties endowed by our creator. In the exercise of these liberties comes a responsibility to be lawful. The very first choice made by mankind was to be disobedient to the Lord God, our creator’s first command. Our first parents were told and knew that of all the trees in the garden they could freely eat (obedience – Gen. 2:16), except one (disobedience – Gen. 2:17). Life and death came by the liberty to freely choose between obedience and disobedience. The precious blood of the lamb of Father God was not shed to give mankind a license to continue in sin, but forgiveness of sin because we all fall short of the glory of God. To repent is to turn away from sin, in spirit (mental disposition) as well as body (the flesh). To continue in disobedience while laying claim to grace alone is philosophical deception. (Col.2:8, Matt. 5:17-20, John 14:14-21, James 2, Rev, 12;17, 14:12, 22:14)

Where is the Father God’s abode and/or residence? “Our Father, which art in heaven, thy kingdom come, thy will (desire) be done, on earth as it is in heaven…” (Mt. 6:9-13) Father God’s abode is in the heavens that were created to be inhabited along with the earth.

Romans 8:16-23

KJV(i) 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation (G603) of the creature (G2937) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature (G2937) was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature (G2937) itself also shall be delivered from the bondage (G1397) of corruption (G5356) into the glorious (G1391) liberty (G1657) of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation (G2937) groaneth (G4959) and travaileth (G4944) in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

*G2937 – κτίσις – original formation (properly, the act; by implication, the thing, literally or figuratively) Derivation: from G2936; KJV Usage: building, creation, creature, ordinance.

>G2936 – κτίζω – to fabricate, i.e. found (form originally) Derivation: probably akin to G2932 (through the idea of proprietorship of the manufacturer); KJV Usage: create, Creator, make.

>>G2932 – κτάομαι – to get, i.e. acquire (by any means; own) Derivation: a primary verb; KJV Usage: obtain, possess, provide, purchase.

*G603 – ἀποκαραδοκία – intense anticipation. Derivation: from a comparative of G575 and a compound of κάρα (the head) and G1380 (in the sense of watching); KJV Usage: earnest expectation.

*G1397 – δουλεία – slavery (ceremonially or figuratively) Derivation: from G1398; KJV Usage: bondage.

*G5356 – φθορά – decay, i.e. ruin (spontaneous or inflicted, literally or figuratively) Derivation: from G5351; KJV Usage: corruption, destroy, perish.

*G1391 – δόξα – glory (as very apparent), in a wide application (literal or figurative, objective or subjective) Derivation: from the base of G1380; KJV Usage: dignity, glory(-ious), honour, praise, worship.

*G1657 – ἐλευθερία – freedom (legitimate or licentious, chiefly moral or ceremonial) Derivation: from G1658; KJV Usage: liberty.

*G4959 – συστενάζω – to moan jointly, i.e. (figuratively) experience a common calamity. Derivation: from G4862 and G4727; KJV Usage: groan together.

*G4944 – συνωδίνω – to have (parturition) pangs in company (concert, simultaneously) with, i.e. (figuratively) to sympathize (in expectation of relief from suffering) Derivation: from G4862 and G5605; KJV Usage: travail in pain together.

Isaiah 45:18 (KJV)

“For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it (them, both heavens and earth) not in vain, he formed it (them, both heavens and earth) to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”

Ezekiel 37:15-28

KJV(i) 15 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, 16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? 19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. 20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. 21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: 22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. 23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. 24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. 26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

Revelation 21:1-7

KJV(i) 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Psalms 1

KJV(i)1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Those who beleive, have faith in, trust and obey the Eternal have the whole cosmos awaiting!
