“Fulfilled” is the magic word for some Christians! How? Why? Because they use it to deal with any doctrine, usually a commandment, they don’t want to keep.

What about the commandment and covenant to keep the Sabbath? What about the Sabbath Covenant? It is in your heart to obey your Lord! Test all things, keep that which is true!

Exodus 31:13

Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign (H226) between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

*H226 – אות – ‘ôth – oth – Probably from H225 (in the sense of appearing); a signal (literally or figuratively), as a flag, beacon, momument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc. KJV Usage: mark, miracle, (en-) sign, token.

>H225 – אוּת – ‘ûth – ooth – A primitive root; properly to come, that is, (impliedly) to assent. KJV Usage: consent.

Matthew 5:17-20

KJV(i) 17 Think not that I am come to destroy (G2647) the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil (G4137 – fully preach). 18 For verily (G281) I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled (G1096) . 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least (G1646) commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least (G1646) in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great (G3173) in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

*G2647 – καταλύω – to loosen down (disintegrate), i.e. (by implication) to demolish (literally or figuratively); specially (compare G2646) to halt for the night. Derivation: from G2596 and G3089;KJV Usage: destroy, dissolve, be guest, lodge, come to nought, overthrow, throw down

*G4137 – πληρόω – to make replete, i.e. (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc. Derivation: from G4134; KJV Usage: accomplish, X after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply

*G281 – ἀμήν – properly, firm, i.e. (figuratively) trustworthy; adverbially, surely (often as interjection, so be it) Derivation: of Hebrew origin (H543); KJV Usage: amen, verily.

>H543 – אמן – ‘âmên – aw-mane’ – From H539sure; abstractly faithfulness; adverbially truly. KJV Usage: Amen, so be it, truth. {The origin of Amen.}

*G1096 – γίνομαι – to cause to be (“gen”-erate), i.e. (reflexively) to become (come into being), used with great latitude (literal, figurative, intensive, etc.)

How is the fourth commandment of the ten which the Almighty wrote in tablets of stone and kept in the ark of the covenant so insignificant that it is so widely disreguarded?

Revelation 16:2

And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark (G5480) of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

G5480 – χάραγμα – a scratch or etching, i.e. stamp (as a badge of servitude), or scupltured figure (statue) Derivation: from the same as G5482; KJV Usage: graven, mark.

Dodson: χάραγμα -sculpture, a stamp, sign, sculpture; engraving, a stamp, sign.

LSJ Gloss: γράφω – to scratch, scrape, graze

Go back to the H226 definition. The Lord’s sabbaths are a “a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc.” and when kept by “consent” is like “a badge of servitude”.

What is the seal (G4973) of God in Revelation 7:1-8?

*G4973 -σφραγίς – a signet (as fencing in or protecting from misappropriation); by implication, the stamp impressed (as a mark of privacy, or genuineness), literally or figuratively. Derivation: probably strengthened from G5420; KJV Usage: seal.

>G5420 – χάραξ –akin to G1125 through the idea of scratching); a stake, i.e. (by implication) a palisade or rampart (military mound for circumvallation in a siege) Derivation: from χαράσσω (to sharpen to a point; KJV Usage: trench.

>>G1125 – γράφω – to “grave”, especially to write; figuratively, to describe
Derivation: a primary verb; KJV Usage: describe, write(-ing, -ten).

The only ones mentioned in Revelation as to having the “Seal of God” are the 144,000, 12,000 from twelve tribes with the tribe of Dan exempted and tribe of Joseph stated instead of Ephraim, is in Revelation 7:1-8.

*G2198 – ζάω – to live (literally or figuratively) Derivation: a primary verb; KJV Usage: life(-time), (a-)live(-ly), quick.

They are mentioned again in Rev. 14:1-5. They are virgins and sing the song that no man (mankind) can learn except the 144,000 and they go with the Lord wherever he goes within the kingdom singing that song. They were redeemed (G59) from among men (mankind).

*G59 – ἀγοράζω – properly, to go to market, i.e. (by implication) to purchase; specially, to redeem. Derivation: from G58; KJV Usage: buy, redeem.

Will others that have the seal (mark/sign/stamp) of God?

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Rev. 12:17)

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” (Rev.14:12)

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” (Rev. 22:14)

How is the sabbath fulfilled?

To consent in keeping it and bear the private mark (sign/stamp/seal) of God’s genuineness!

” If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)

Have a restful sabbath
