Researchers Link COVID-19 Drug to New Virus Mutations in Patients

A widely used COVID-19 treatment drug could be linked to mutations that create new variants of the disease, according to researchers in a new pre-print study.

Published in Medxriv (pdf), researchers cited an analysis of more than 13 million viral genomes in worldwide databases and found that the drug Lagevrio, also known as molnupiravir, that there were mutations linked to the drug. Certain mutations, they wrote, were more common in nations that widely used the drug, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

There were a lower number of mutations in France and Canada, where the drug isn’t authorized for use, they found. The survey of viral genomes found that some people who are treated with the medication can generate new novel variants of COVID-19 that spread.

“It is possible that some patients treated with molnupiravir might not fully clear SARS-CoV2 infections, with the potential for onward transmission of molnupiravir-mutated viruses,” the researchers wrote in the paper, which has not been peer-reviewed. SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that causes COVID-19.…

The 16 J&J products invented elsewhere accounted for 89% of the $31.4 billion that its 18 leading products generated. Clearly, the existence of Pfizer and J&J as profitable pharmaceutical manufacturers is dependent on the acquisition of drugs invented by third parties.

Our finding that few of the top-selling drugs made by Pfizer and J&J had been discovered in-house complements a recent Government Accountability Office report examining where large pharmaceutical companies spend most of their research dollars. It is also consistent with the latest member survey conducted by PhRMA, which indicated that last year only $13 billion was spent on preclinical studies — the basic and translational science that is the foundation for the discovery of innovative drugs.

That is only a fraction of the $39.2 billion taxpayers spent to support the medical research conducted by the National Institutes of Health. More than 80% of the NIH’s funding is awarded through almost 50,000 competitive grants to more than 300,000 researchers at 2,500+ universities, medical schools, and other research institutions in every state and around the world. While it is important to give fair consideration to the cost and risk involved in the development of new drugs, Pfizer and J&J were mostly buying drugs that had already been shown to have efficacy….

Messenger RNA Sequences Found in Blood 28 Days After COVID-19 Vaccination

Messenger RNA sequences from the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines were found in the blood of multiple individuals weeks after vaccination, according to a new study.

Researchers in Denmark analyzed samples from the vaccinated and detected partial or even full sequences of the messenger RNA (mRNA) following vaccination. The sequences were found as late as 28 days after vaccination, or the longest time period the study analyzed.

The findings mean that the mRNA, which is situated in lipid nanoparticles for deliverance into the body, lingers for much longer than authorities in the United States and elsewhere acknowledge.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, for instance, has claimed that the mRNA is broken down “within a few days.” The Infectious Diseases Society of America says the mRNA “is quickly metabolized and eliminated via cellular processing mechanisms.”

Henrik Westh, a professor of clinical microbiology at the University of Copenhagen, and co-authors of the new study described being surprised by the findings.

“We surprisingly found fragments of COVID-19 vaccine mRNA up to 28 days postvaccination in blood from chronic HCV patients vaccinated with mRNA vaccines from both Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna,” they wrote.

The study featured taking samples from 108 vaccinated people with chronic hepatitis C virus, or HCV, and examining them for up to 28 days after vaccination.

Ten of the samples, or 9.3 percent, had partial or full sequences of the mRNA sequence.

The vaccines deliver mRNA inside lipid nanoparticles.

The researchers said that the detected mRNA was likely still inside the nanoparticles, which “have been slowly released from the injection site either directly to the blood or through the lymph system.” Without the nanoparticles, the mRNA “would rapidly degrade.”

They claimed that the new data “does not in any way change the conclusion that both mRNA vaccines are safe and effective.”

That conclusion shows bias and it overlooks how pseudouridine, which is used to modify the RNA in the vaccines, “alters the stability of RNA considerably,” Dr. Robert Malone told The Epoch Times. Documents leaked in 2022 showed European regulators expressed concern about truncated and modified RNA in the vaccines….

Moon and colleagues reported a well-characterized case of new-onset type 1 diabetes in an adult temporally related to COVID-19 vaccination….

...COVID-19 vaccine side effects that occur way less than one percent of the time can be a large problem for the community since nearly the entire population was duped or forced into vaccination. For so many reasons, any novel EUA [Emergency Use Authorization] vaccine campaign should be targeted on a small group at the highest risk so large numbers are not exposed to permanent side effects such as insulin-dependent type 1 diabetes….
